16-year-old shot on bike path in Waukegan

A 16 year-old Waukegan boy is expected to survive after a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Waukegan, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting about 1:30 p.m. at Washington Street and the Robert McClory Bike Path.

The teen was taken to the hospital.

A white SUV was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting, but authorities said it's unclear if the vehicle was involved.
