On home rule in Barrington

This topic can be discussed, dissected, debated endlessly. Should we? Shouldn't we?

Here is the bottom line: who do you believe is more responsive and responsible for your everyday affairs within our community - the state of Illinois or the Village of Barrington?

Having trouble answering the question? Well, do you believe in the principles of local self-government or not?

Where you live and knowing who you vote for or against in your local community is surely more efficacious than sending someone to Springfield. And, if you are inclined to "throw the rascals out" then surely that is more easily accomplished in a local election.

Oh and by the way, the record of governing by Springfield has much to be desired for those that failed to pay attention to the last 20-plus years. Vote YES for Home Rule in Barrington.
