Fundraiser to benefit Carol Stream's 4th of July celebration
Volunteers who organize Carol Stream's Fourth of July parade will hold a fundraiser next week for the village's 2023 Independence Day celebration.
The Carol Stream Parade Committee will receive 10% of all food sales at Culver's restaurant between 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25.
The committee invites neighbors, friends and co-workers to "dine in, drive through or take out" at Culver's to help raise funds for the parade, a 35-year-old Carol Stream tradition. The restaurant is located at 290 S. Schmale Road.
The 2023 parade and fireworks are scheduled for July 1.
Past parades have featured the Jessie White Tumblers, the Glenbard North High School marching band, the Great Lakes Navy Band, South Shore Drill Team and a "Ghostbusters" costuming group.
The committee works on the parade throughout the year. To volunteer, visit the parade website at Carolstreamparade.com.
