District 64 board to talk construction projects

Editor's note: This story has been updated to reflect that the projects are in their final stages.

The Park Ridge-Niles District 64 school board meets Thursday night, Oct. 20, to discuss the final stages of construction work at the schools, the proposed tax levy and other business.

The board decided last year to borrow about $26 million to fund building expansions and renovations. Additionally, Jefferson School in Niles is being converted into a district headquarters as part of the project.

The projects coincide with the district's addition of all-day kindergarten classes.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at Washington School, 1500 Stewart Ave., Park Ridge.
