Advocate Sherman Hospital's cardiac surgery and pediatric expertise recognized by Newsweek's World's Best Specialized Hospitals list

Recognized for delivering exceptional cardiac surgery and pediatric care, Advocate Sherman Hospital was named to Newsweek's prestigious World's Best Specialized Hospitals list.

The recognition highlights the high-quality care patients can expect to receive from Advocate Sherman's providers.

"I am incredibly proud of the hard work and perseverance of the Advocate Sherman team during another challenging year in healthcare," shared Sheri De Shazo, President of Advocate Sherman. "Our hospital has a long history of providing leading edge cardiac care and compassionate care for our littlest patients. It is a privilege to serve our community and to bring exceptional safe, quality care to the people of Elgin and Kane County."

Advocate Sherman was one of the first community hospitals to perform open heart surgery in 1972, and its team performs more open-heart surgeries than any other hospital in our region. The Advocate Sherman team has access to nearly every diagnostic and therapeutic tool available in the fight against heart disease, including the minimally invasive TAVR procedure for valve replacement.
