Intermatic acquires company to expand pool line

LIBERTYVILLE - Intermatic Inc. Thursday announced its acquisition of Aquapro Systems LLC, a manufacturer of pool and spa mechanical equipment.

The investment expands Intermatic's existing pool and spa catalog with a range of essential pool solutions, including pumps, filters, heat pumps, air blowers and more. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

"Intermatic has been a trusted partner to pool professionals for decades," says Rick Boutilier, president and CEO at Intermatic. "This acquisition will help us strengthen those relationships and provide additional high-quality solutions that support their everyday needs."

As part of the acquisition, formerly Aquapro-branded products will transition to the Intermatic brand.

Aquapro's product line includes energy-efficient equipment for inground, aboveground and soft-sided pools. This complements core Intermatic pool and spa solutions, which focus on timer controls, surge protection, transformers and electrical control panels.
