Libertyville Fire Department open house Oct. 15

The Libertyville Fire Department will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The event at Fire Station 1, 1551 N. Milwaukee Ave., will feature live demonstrations and activities. Kids can slide down a fire pole, play giant Jenga with a firefighter and more. A recruitment table is making its debut for anyone interested in serving as a firefighter/paramedic.
