Letter: Reviewing the facts
Regarding the "Not a believer" letter from Pam Adamski on Sept. 30: Yes, the Afghanistan withdrawal was a fiasco, but former President Trump signed the peace deal and agreed to a certain date for the U.S. to leave. Why did he not get us out?
And yes, the Biden administration should have removed most if not all of the equipment. I do not know for sure, but isn't some military equipment left behind when you leave a battlefield?
The southern border should be in better shape. But why isn't Congress doing its job and fixing the problem? The president is only one third of the federal government. President Trump and the Republican Party had total control of the government his first two years. Why did they not fix the problem with our immigration laws.
I could not find any stories on the internet about President Biden being the first one to bus illegal immigrants to other cities.
President Biden did stop the Keystone pipeline, but that pipeline was for the transport of Canadian oil to Texas to be processed and exported. It was not staying here in the U.S. for our benefit. The oil companies are exporting a majority of the oil they pump for their benefit. The oil companies stopped fracking as it was not cost efficient during the COVID epidemic.
The high crime rate in most major cities is a local problem that the mayor and governor should be addressing. Why is the president to blame for local crime?
Yes, I agree that the Biden administration could be doing a better job, but I would rather trust this administration rather than one that takes my rights away or believes fake news and makes up wild stories.
