Engineering firm to donate 100 trees

ROSEMONT - Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd. said Tuesday it will donate 75 trees to more than 45 municipalities across suburban Chicago in celebration of Morton Arboretum's 100th anniversary and the Conservation Foundation's 50th anniversary.

Tree-planting ceremonies will take place in the selected municipalities, acknowledging the work of Morton Arboretum and the Conservation Foundation, two organizations dedicated to preserving and improving the region's natural areas, the firm said.

Tree varieties to be planted will be the "Exclamation!" London planetree, Princeton American elm and American Sentry linden.

"We're proud to honor the commitment and work of the Morton Arboretum and the Conservation Foundation through our tree donation program," said Christopher B. Burke, CEO. Burke is chairman of the Conservation Foundation board of directors and the past chair and current member of the Morton Arboretum board of trustees.
