Letter: Iran can't be trusted on nuclear weapons deal

In response to Mahsa Amini's death in an Iranian prison a week ago, women took to the Tehran streets in marches. The Iranian government took violent measures to put down the protest over head coverings.

How can a nation that uses birdshot, water canons and other projectiles against unarmed women be expected to adhere to a promise not to develop or use nuclear weapons?

President Biden, end the sham nuclear enrichment discussions with Iran. Bring back the Trump-imposed sanctions. Isolate this thug theocracy with the same force of law as your administration has sought to contain and punish Russia.
