Letter: Charge insurrectionists

Twenty-one years ago, our country was attached by a group of foreign terrorist in an attempt to destroy our country and all it stands for. They made a terrible mistake as our country came together with one single goal to protect our country and defeat these terrorists wherever they tried to hide.

Today, any American who lived through those terrible days will never forget what these terrorists attempted to do. This day will never be forgotten, just like Dec. 7, 1941. On Jan. 6, 2021, there was another terrorist attack on our country and all it stands for. This time, they were domestic terrorists led by one person desperate to stay in power. Make no mistake, this attack upon our country was no different or less dangerous, as it was an attack on our government our Constitution and our way of life.

Over two and one-half years have passed since this attack, where is our DOJ? Our response to this attack by domestic terrorists should be no different from our response to the other attacks upon our country. We have been told "no one is above the law." OK, if that is true, it's time to hold those responsible be charged. All of them. Don't tell me you cannot charge an ex-president with a crime. If you truly believe in law and order, no one should be above the law.
