Des Plaines school to host a safety day with police, firefighters

Algonquin Middle School in Des Plaines will host local police officers and firefighters for a safety day on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Activities will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school, 767 E. Algonquin Road. Bicycle safety checks and car seat installations are scheduled, and visitors will get a chance to meet and visit with Des Plaines police officers and firefighters.
