Palatine Chamber's expo highlights businesses, entertainment

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 2022 Business Expo & Community Showcase from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road, Palatine.

The free-to-attend event features more than 60 exhibitors, pet adoptions on-site, games, entertainment and giveaways - all provided by local area businesses and organizations.

"The expo is a great way to see how so many of our local businesses and organizations help to make Palatine a great place to live, work, and spend time," said Palatine Chamber Executive Director Steven Gaus.

"We have a variety of vendors - from home needs to social services, to physical fitness and self-care. We've got financial and personal services, local government and religious organizations, restaurants, pet needs and senior services. There's something for all at Palatine Chamber's Expo."

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz welcoming businesses and attendees. The day continues with entertainment, including a K9 demonstration, art and music activities, face painting, martial arts demos, a wine tasting and interactive demos from local businesses.

Additional attractions will include raffle baskets and a 50/50 cash raffle. There will also be roaming characters such as Palatine Historical Society's Clayson the family dog and Jo Jo from Jewel-Osco.

Concessions are available; join for lunch with sandwiches, pizza and more.

The Presenting sponsor for this event is Palatine Park District, with Palatine Bank & Trust as the Platinum sponsor, and the Daily Herald Media Group as its Media sponsor.
