Letter: Don't add IRS agents; change the system
Does anyone really think the 87,000 new IRS agents know more about tax laws than the army of tax accountants employed by companies, billionaires and millionaires?
The rhetoric spewed by the administration in chasing down tax "cheaters" to pay their "fair share" plays well on the nightly news but in reality is just a waste of taxpayer dollars.
You want companies/people to pay their "fair share"? Change the tax laws. Eliminate the laundry list of exceptions, omissions, etc…and flatten the tax rate.
