Visit Lake County seeks photo contest entries

Visit Lake County is seeking photos that capture the county's beauty, heritage and character from residents and visitors. Last year's grand prize winner was a shot taken of Hastings Lake in Lake Villa at sunset by Chadwick Miller. The organizers pick from six categories, including photos of the outdoors, of people and pictures taken at Lake County events. There is also a category for video submissions. People may submit up to five photos, and winners will receive what organizers call an exclusive prize and photo credit in future tourism marketing materials. Submissions are accepted online through the end of October at visitlakecounty.org/lets-snap-lake-county-photo-contest.
