Letter: It's all for the money
Less than a week after the 21st remembrances of the events/injuries/deaths of infamous date of 9/11, caused by 19 terrorists, 15 of them Saudis, America goes soft again. It's hard to figure out the hypocrites of American society/sport, until Saudi money is involved. Or the dismemberment of a dissident reporter and its crown prince denials? The Saudis and human rights? Never, ever associate the two.
The Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament is coming to the area this week with worldwide pros playing for huge Saudi prize or blood monies. Hypocrites, yes, we are. Proud Americans, to show the world where we stand in regards to the Saudis? Hardly. Because, it's money that matters over all, including life.
