Letter: Getting the real story on drag event

Thanks to John Becker, who's recent letter regarding the canceled drag queen event in the Downers Grove Public Library debunked the narrative provided by supporters of the event. The latter attempted to portray the event as having widespread support by the Community and even as being requested by the Community.

His research proved that these claims, to use a term in common use today by many political media outlets, were "baseless."

It makes one wonder how many other such claims made by those pursuing so-called progressive agendas and non-traditional, widely publicized social trends are in fact made out of whole cloth and, to use another term that many would find offensive, are simply lies.

We need more fact checking of claims like these before publicizing them.
