Arlington Heights Rotary offers grants to nonprofits

The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights has opened its annual application period for community grants.

Applications are accepted from local nonprofit organizations until Oct. 312.

Grant applications are evaluated against their applicability to any of Rotary International's areas of focus: promoting peace, fighting disease, clean water, sanitation and hygiene, mothers and children, education/literacy, growing local economies and addressing environmental issues.

In addition, applicability to residents in or near Arlington Heights is a factor.

The application form and instruction letter can be found on the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights' website, www.arlingtonheightsrotary.org.

For more information, call Betsy Kmiecik, community grants coordinator, at (847) 804-0968.
