Two new shops open in Lombard mall

LOMBARD - Yorktown Center announced the recent openings of two new stores, Molly's Cupcakes and Attic Salt.

Molly's Cupcakes opened its doors in late August and serves up center-filled cupcakes, cheesecakes, cookies and other baked goods. Its baked goods are made from scratch and delivered every day. the shop offers seasonal cupcakes and sells apple pie cupcakes and apple streusel cheesecake in the fall.

Attic Salt sells T-shirts, jewelry, books and gifts. What started off as a chain of stores in the Pacific Northwest in 2003, known then as Fuego, has grown into more than 60 Attic Salt stores around the country.

Over the years, Attic Salt has donated hundreds of thousands of socks and jackets to shelters while using its platform to shine a light on social causes that deserve attention.
