Letter: President's 'semi-fascists' comment was out of line

On June 6. 1944, my uncle Dallas A. Jamieson jumped into France.

There, he and his comrades fought and died to liberate an oppressed people from their fascists' oppressors. On Sept. 17, 1944, he again jumped, this time into Holland to help liberate another nation of oppressed people.

On the 20th, while trying to liberate the tiny Village of Beek, he was shot in the head and killed.

As the anniversary approaches of his sacrifice to our nation to help liberate the world from fascism, I'm sure he would be appalled that the POTUS, Joe Biden has described American citizens who may disagree with his politics as "semi-fascists."

Pause and think about that. Comparing Americans to those who pulled the trigger not only on my uncle, but the thousands of other men and women who have giving their all so we have the right to disagree.
