Letter: We need problem solvers in Congress
I see that Keith Pekau got some coverage on the front page above the fold. Was it for an announcement about a bold initiative to make the lives of the people of the 6th District better? No, it was his outrage over a dress-up performance (a drag queen) at a library.
Now, maybe you don't like that kind of entertainment. Or like me, you can't get too excited one way or the other. I'm sure Keith's antics will get some folks worked up. But we have serious problems in this country and our elected representatives need to be solving them. Not getting folks lathered up about nonsense. What's next? Whether Miss Piggy shows too much cleavage?
We don't need another "performance artist" in Congress. For me, I'll be voting for Sean Casten. He's working to solve problems and make America a better place for everyone.
