Algonquin Golden Corral offering free meals to first responders Thursday

Golden Corral in Algonquin is offering local first responders a complimentary "thank you" meal on Thursday.

The First Responders Eat Free event is offered from 11 a.m. to close at 1591 S. Randall Rd. in Algonquin.

"We are so thankful for our first responders and are excited to be able to give back to them for their continued contributions to the community," General Manager and Algonquin resident Carlos Moran said in a news release. "We wanted this event to celebrate the bravery and selflessness they show every day. A free meal is the least we can do because, simply put, it's our turn to thank them."

The restaurant will also be offering limited-time "inflation buster" prices with discounts on their buffets starting Friday.
