Letter: Take case seriously
I wonder what Donald Trump would be saying if the FBI searched Hilary Clinton's home and found one box, or even one envelope that was labeled "Classified." I think we all know from past history that Trump and his followers would immediately cry "lock her up."
Trump expects the Justice Department to simply look the other way when it comes to any and all of his dealings. It is common knowledge that Trump was not interested in learning about the requirements for presidential document retention. He believes that the law does not apply to him, that he is above the law and that the Justice Department worked for him.
I hope that the highly classified documents he took were not part of a shopping list given to him by his buddy Putin. The Republicans need to take this more seriously. It would be ironic if he gets found guilty of this and has to serve the five-year minimum due to a law he put in place specifically for Hilary Clinton.
