Lombard seeks nominations for top senior residents

Lombard is accepting nominations for the village's Senior of the Year Awards.

The annual honor celebrates seniors who volunteer or go above and beyond in their contributions to the community.

Lombard residents age 65 or older are eligible. Nominations must include a brief statement, 50 words or fewer, about why the senior should be considered for the recognition, as well as a short biography of the nominee. The village's community relations committee will vote for the winners on Sept. 12.

All nominations must be received by 4:30 p.m. Friday. Nominations may be sent to Village of Lombard, Attention: "Senior of the Year," 255 E. Wilson, Lombard, IL 60148, or emailed to communications@villageoflombard.org.
