88Keys to Cure donates $10,000 to Lurie Children's Hospital

88Keys to Cure, a group of local high school students from Sueanne Metz's piano studio in Long Grove, presented a check of $10,000 to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago on July 25.

Over the past year, 88Keys to Cure raised this donation through virtual piano concerts, piano tutorials on their YouTube channel and private sponsors.

88Keys to Cure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local communities through music. Since its inception in 2017, the charity has raised more than $50,000 for various organizations. Cumulatively, 88Keys to Cure has contributed more than $30,000 to Lurie Children's Hospital. The donations helped fund parenting education, nursing conferences and hospital-grade equipment that can support infantile life.

"Your support through 88Keys to Cure's event is incredibly important in allowing us to continue to save and improve the lives and outcomes for our tiniest patients. Thank you for making a meaningful impact on the future of medicine at Lurie Children's and the health of the next generation," said Dr. Nana Matoba, attending physician, Neonatology.

88Keys to Cure looks forward to hosting live benefit concerts and fundraisers. Whether in-person or virtual, the co-directors will continue supporting the local community with their passion for music.
