Letter: Violence against our institutions is wrong

The Aug. 18 edition of the Daily Herald contained an article about the "storm of death threats" by supporters of former President Donald Trump against Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed off on the Mar-a-Lago search warrant. This comes on top of numerous reports of threats by the same group against FBI personnel, including an attempted attack on an FBI office in Cincinnati after the search warrant was executed.

Such heinous acts are being committed by the same people who decried threats against members of the Supreme Court after it overturned Roe v. Wade. You can't have it both ways, people. It's not OK to threaten judges and law enforcement professionals when you oppose their actions, but wrong to do so when you like them.

Wake up and smell the hypocrisy. Violence against our established institutions of law is wrong. Period.
