Lake Zurich adopts 20-year capital spending plan

The Lake Zurich village board last week adopted a new 20-year Community Investment Plan.

The document is a long-term capital spending plan that provides a two-decade forecast of all municipal capital demands including infrastructure, land improvements, equipment, technology and the municipal fleet.

The 2023-2042 Community Investment Plan identifies infrastructure and capital needs of more than $291 million over the next 20 years, including approximately $4.5 million in capital projects and equipment for the upcoming 2023 fiscal year.

Those needs have been prioritized over the next 20 years to better plan for the costs and, when possible, set aside resources to provide minimal impact on the budget.
