Motorcyclist in critical condition after Lake Villa crash

A man was critically injured late Monday night after losing control of his motorcycle in Lake Villa.

Lake Villa police said officers and firefighters were dispatched at 11:58 p.m. to the 600 block of West Monaville Road.

First responders found the driver unconscious with a serious head injury.

Authorities said the motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was traveling east when he lost control of his 2017 Harley-Davidson and drove off the roadway.

He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

The crash is still under investigation.
