Person rescued from Grays Lake

A person was rescued Wednesday from Grays Lake, according to the Grayslake Fire Protection District.

The swimmer, spotted near Jones Island, said he was tired and attempted to return to the beach after unsuccessfully trying to make contact with two other people in his group, authorities said.

Emergency responders from the Grayslake Fire Protection District were helped by divers and boats from Round Lake, Lake Villa, Fox Lake, Antioch, Gurnee and Libertyville.
