Dustin van Koevering Achieves Prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst CFA® Certification

Dustin A. van Koevering, Director of Investments and Portfolio Manager with Sherrie Robert van Koevering, Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company, has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst CFA® Certification from the CFA Institute.

"As a CFA® charter holder, Dustin has distinguished himself in earning the gold standard in the investment management profession," said Corey D. McQuade, managing partner of Northwestern Mutual-Chicago. "His commitment to professional development provides a true differentiator in his competence in comprehensive wealth planning while upholding the highest standards of integrity," he added.

The CFA Program, administered by the CFA Institute, the global not-for-profit association of investment professionals, sets a standard that is acknowledged worldwide for measuring the competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers, and investment advisers.

Candidate surveys report that preparation for the three exams typically requires at least 1,000 combined hours of study. Due to the program's rigor, only around 1 in 5 candidates who enroll in the CFA Program pass all three exams and meet the professional and ethical requirements to earn the charter. Administered worldwide, the CFA Program covers ethical and professional standards, securities analysis and valuation, international financial statement analysis, quantitative methods, economics, corporate finance, portfolio management, and performance measurement.

As Director of Investments and Portfolio Manager, van Koevering tactically optimizes client portfolios, continually monitoring the economic backdrop and market environment to maximize their custom, comprehensive planning.

In addition to the CFA®, van Koevering also holds the Certified Fund Specialist®, and Certified Estate & Trust Specialist designations. He is a Cum Laude graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in finance and marketing.

Van Koevering is a board member of Men's Et Manus Financial and an active member of CFA Society Chicago.
