Naperville Saints to host its first Youth Football Jamboree amid record growth

The Naperville Saints will host its inaugural youth football "jamboree" event on Saturday, Aug. 13.

This milestone event will feature youth tackle football players scrimmaging against each other in preparation for the upcoming football season.

"The 2022 Naperville Saints Jamboree will be a fun, family event which reflects how youth football is growing again in Naperville," says Tom Liabo, president of Naperville Saints. "We are very excited to get kids back on the field playing the game they love."

This event comes in the wake of recent initiatives and accomplishments of the organization.

It will feature more than 350 youth football players playing in a "jamboree" format. The Saints players will play in full-contact, full-pads, short scrimmages.

Kids, ages 7-14, are participating. The 8-U to Junior Varsity will be scrimmaging at Knoch Park turf field between 9 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The varsity (eighth-grade) players will be at Nike Complex between 1 and 4 p.m.

"We are ecstatic about the opportunity to get our players together to play football and share the experience within the Naperville community," says Mike Lemons, board member of Naperville Saints.
