Letter: Where races don't belong

One day we read that Chicago is cracking down on the drag racers and those who perform wild stunts on downtown streets in the wee hours. The next day we read that Chicago plans to host a NASCAR race on the same streets. Whose brainstorm was that?

Race cars belong on race tracks. If that NASCAR nonsense takes place, there's one thing you can bet on. Some nutcase thrill racers will attempt to replicate it in the wee hours and there's sure to be some serious crashes.
