Beach Party Bingo to benefit FVSRA Foundation
The Fox Valley Special Recreation Foundation is hosting the second annual Beach Party Bingo on Friday, Aug. 19, at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora.
Proceeds from the event support Fox Valley Special Recreation Association initiatives to help participants with disabilities make new friends, experience new activities, and become part of a supportive community.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for dinner and drinks, with bingo and chances for raffle prizes throughout the night.
Open bar will be available from 6-9 p.m. Photo IDs will be checked at the door.
Reuland's Food Service will provide BBQ sliders, Hawaiian cabobs, beans, coleslaw, and ice cream novelties.
Tickets are $50 per person and will be $60 on Aug. 19.
One bingo card is included in your event fee, additional cards may be purchased at the door. There will be a variety of raffle prizes and other fun games throughout the night. Cash, check, or credits are accepted.

Fox Valley Special Recreation Association was formed in 1976 and is an extension of the Batavia, Fox Valley, Geneva, Oswegoland, St. Charles and Sugar Grove park districts, and South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department to provide a diverse range of year round recreational activities to enable residents with disabilities to experience active, healthy and playful lifestyles.
Programs are designed to include opportunities that will enhance skill development and socialization, encourage self-awareness and community exploration, promote independence through personal choice of least restrictive environments, and provide a sense of enjoyment, satisfaction and fulfillment.
