Letter: Candidates, we need an election break
It's been about a month since the Illinois primary election. The federal and state elections are not until Nov. 8. Already I am receiving campaign literature in my mail box and getting calls to my telephone.
This really turns me off these candidates. The only positive to the mailings is that the postage does help support our United States Postal Service and the printing companies gets their business.
So take heed, candidates. I don't want campaigns intruding on my life at this point. Between now and October when I will look and listen, your literature will immediately go into my recycling bin and your phone calls will go to voice mail and be deleted without a listen.
