Naperville police investigating armed robbery

Naperville police officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night on the 2700 block of Fitness Drive.

According to police officials, officers responded at about 9:15 p.m. to the scene. The preliminary investigation indicated a masked man, armed with a knife, approached a person in a parking lot and robbed them of cash and personal items. The suspect then fled the area on foot.

Naperville and Aurora police officers utilized police dog and drone resources but couldn't locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants.
