Elgin's Holy Trinty co-sponsors National Night Out Event Aug. 2

On Tuesday, Aug. 2, Holy Trinity Elgin will join Congregation Kneseth Israel and The Kingdom Advancement Center for a neighborhood get-together for National Night Out. The event at the corner of North Chapel and Division streets will start at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

This "Unity on Division" team celebration will include a blood drive at Congregation Kneseth Israel along with kosher hot dogs and a vegetarian choice.

There will be popcorn and cotton candy from the Elgin Police Department and food trucks with Bar-B-Q and other picnic food.

The Kingdom Advancement Center will feature a "Jumpy House" and frozen treats while Holy Trinity will have lawn games.

A table will be manned by Accurate Employment personnel for applications.

Other tables will include Elgin Cooperative Ministry, and Food for Greater Elgin.

A collection of Global Fire Department Patches will be on special display by John Moravec.

Holy Trinity worships at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Also on Sunday, the service is broadcast on WRMN 1410 AM and livestreamed at holytrinityelgin.com.
