Letter: Reagan-style dynasty may lie ahead
Everyone expects the Democrats to be ushered out of congressional power come November. I'd say the Biden administration's bad execution of bad policy derived from absurd leftist ideology makes it likely the Republicans will seize control of Congress this fall. If those new Republicans are also conservative and courageous (not a given as history and Paul Ryan have shown), the electoral rout may prove to be more than just a stymying of Biden's grotesque globalist initiatives. The GOP's ascendancy may usher in a Reagan-style dynasty.
While a Republican Congress puts a stop to Biden's misadventures by withholding funding for everything with the old man's monogram on it, including his pajamas, a newly invigorated Supreme Court may begin the process of power-washing our sullied Constitution by overturning the blunders of past decisions.
Then in 2024, Trump and Desantis can run for the White House. Or if he so chooses, realizing his sizable political baggage, Trump may opt to play kingmaker and endorse Desantis for the nomination. Desantis can then corral a repentant Mickey Mouse as his running mate, gain the presidency, and appoint Trump as ambassador to China.
With the media's focus on Trump in Beijing, Desantis can enact his agenda in Washington, D.C. with little attention. Trump's hyperventilation and MAGA pronouncements in Mandarin should give the Chinese fits in their own capital, leaving them no time to plan any invasion of Taiwan, or to unleash a second barrage of viral pathogens toward the West.
Peace in Asia. American energy returns to business. Putin's oil revenues dry up, and he is left with a wasteland in eastern Ukraine to cradle in his arms. The Dow Jones hits 35,000. Morning in America, again.
