Des Plaines nonprofit group needs food donations

The Self-Help Closet and Pantry of Des Plaines is seeking donations of nonperishable pasta, tomato sauce, macaroni and cheese mixes and cereal and cans of condensed soup.

Laundry and dish soap also are needed, as are all types of canned beans.

The nonprofit group operates at 769 Holiday Lane.

Donations can be dropped off on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and on Saturdays from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the gray door facing Holiday Lane.

Client hours are from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
