STC Six raises $4,000 for nonprofit group

ST. CHARLES - The first St. Charles beer collaboration recently raised more than $4,000 for the Tri City Health Partnership, organizers said.

Six St. Charles-area breweries came together to create the STC Six, an amber lager, with a portion of sales donated to the nonprofit organization.

"That donation will provide 20 office visits to the underserved in our community," said Kim Lamansky, executive director of Tri City Health Partnership.

The partnership, founded in 2001, is the only free medical and dental clinic in Kane County for residents who do not have the ability to pay for those services.

The six participating breweries were Pollyanna Brewing Company, Alter Brewing and Kitchen, Riverlands Brewing Company, Broken Brix Home-brew Shop, 93 Octane Brewery, and D and G Brewing.

"Each of the brewers have reached out with their donations and it was wonderful to hear the joy in their voices, knowing the donation will truly impact the lives of our patients," Lamansky said.
