Highland Park police reports

The following were provided by the Highland Park Police Department and represent only accusations, not findings of guilt.

• THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

Sometime between 9:00 PM on 7/9/22 and 11:00 AM on 7/10/22, an unknown person(s) stole a catalytic converter from a Blue Honda CR-V while parked at the Courtyard Marriott, 1505 Lake Cook Road. Estimated value of loss totaling $2200.

• THEFT

July 11, 2022 8:05 PM Sometime after 7:00 PM, an unknown person(s) stole an unsecured Blue Schwinn mountain bicycle from outside the Highland Park library , 494 Laurel Avenue.

• THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS

Between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM on 7/11/22, an unknown person(s) stole a catalytic converter from a 2004 Honda Pilot while parked in the lower parking garage located at 1849 Green Bay Road.

• RETAIL THEFT

July 15, 2022 12:47 PM. A delayed report was received of a retail theft at the Jewel-Osco located at 1600 Deerfield Road. On 7/2/22 at approximately 7:36 AM, two suspects entered the store and stole numerous bottles of alcohol, exited the store without paying and left in a taxi. The suspects were described as a man in his 60's, with medium build and average height, wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and a trucker hat, and woman in her 60's, with heavy build and blonde hair. The total value of the stolen items was $162.35.

• RETAIL THEFT

July 15, 2022 1:22 PM A delayed report was received of a retail theft at the Jewel-Osco located at 1600 Deerfield Road. On 7/16/22 at approximately 6:30 PM, an unknown female suspect entered the store, placed 39 bottles of alcohol into a cart, exited the store without paying for the items, and left in a black SUV. The total value of the stolen items was $874.95.

• THEFT

July 15, 2022 8:23 PM A package that was reported delivered by Amazon on 7/2/22 was found to be missing from a residence in the 1700 block of Park Avenue West. Estimated value of loss $130.

July 16, 2022 10:36 AM At approximately 10:26 AM, two suspects entered the Ferguson Bath, Kitchen, and Lighting Galley located at 227 Skokie Valley Road, stole an employee's wallet from behind the counter of the store, and left in a Gray Range Rover. The suspects were described as a woman wearing sunglasses, a face mask, a gray shirt with a duck on it, and gray sweatpants, and a woman wearing sunglasses, a face mask, a gray long sleeve shirt, and gray sweatpants, carrying a bag on her shoulder.
