Melrose Park Welcomes First Crab du Jour Restaurant to Chicago Area With Ribbon Cutting

Crab Du Jour, a popular Cajun-inspired seafood restaurant known for its ultimate seafood boils, with 85 locations along the East Coast, officially celebrated the grand opening of its first Midwest location in Melrose Park, Illinois on Tuesday, July 14.

Mayor Ronald M. Serpico welcomed Crab du Jour to the area and cut the ribbon along with representatives from the City of Melrose Park, the Melrose Park Chamber of Commerce and Crab du Jour. Members of the Walther Christian Academy band performed and were later presented with a $500.00 donation from Crab du Jour.

Known for its ultimate seafood boil, Crab Du Jour, which translates roughly to "crab of the day," offers a unique dining experience featuring freshly prepared and made-to-order Cajun-inspired seafood boils and a variety of fresh high-quality seafood selections, including clams, mussels, shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, lobster and more.

In addition to the boils, the menu includes Fire Basted "Fishes of The Sea" coconut shrimp, fried calamari, crab bisque, fried scallops and crabcakes, Southern Cajun specialties and non-seafood dishes, including a bourbon steak, chicken wings, hush puppies, chicken Po'boys, cheeseburger, fried pickles, and more, along with a full-service bar serving up Crab du Jour's signature cocktails.

Located at 851 W. North Avenue in Melrose Park Crab Du Jour is open Sunday through Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit https://www.crabdujour.com.
