Letter: Reviewing the record on Bailey candidacy

A recent letter to the editor asked if we know who Bailey's candidate really is in the race for governor. I don't understand why the Daily Herald printed this with all the misstatements it held.

First, Bailey is the candidate, he doesn't "have" a candidate.

Next, a biracial child in school, or any child for that matter, will not be "subjected" to CRT, despite everything the writer hears on Fox News and then writes in his letter.

The author also laments that a family may find that their first grader is being taught sex education in school. I don't know of any school teaching sex education in first grade.

These are the types of glaring errors that Darren Bailey's followers feed upon. People are free to vote for whomever they wish. I only wish that they relied on facts.

I also respect that the Daily Herald should publish viewpoints from across the political spectrum. But is a letter so full of hyperbole the best you get from the public for a Bailey endorsement? If so, it's a sad reflection on the Republican Party and our society as a whole.
