Letter: Don't stand in the way of weapons ban
How can our legislators watch the slaughter going on in our country and not ban so-called assault weapons? It's incomprehensible to me, makes no sense.
I've voted Republican pretty much my entire life, but I'm fed up with them standing in the way of banning these weapons.
This issue is more important to me than any other now. If you're not safe in Highland Park, you're not safe anywhere.
I'm voting a straight Democratic ticket from this point on. I will not take a chance on any Republican voting in favor of such weapons.
