Letter: Election is key to fixing the country

In politics, as in life, there are consequences to the decisions we make. Whether decisions that produce positive results, or bad decisions with painful consequences, there is an immutable law of nature that there will always be a consequence.

In politics, there is a strange twist. Bad government policies bring bad results to the governed - but not the decision-makers. They are exempt from the consequences. Or so it seems.

There are examples from every major issue directed and ordered by the Biden administration.

For example,

• the southern border is out of control (and government officials will not fix it);

• energy policy converted an energy independent USA into a nation requiring/begging our enemies and competitors to sell oil to the USA;

• identity politics appointing a cabinet with the proper diverse heritage rather than proven skills for their jobs regardless of their skin color or gender;

• inflation wiping out any gains from higher wages;

• gas prices at the pump;

... and the list goes on.

The consequences are affecting everyone in a profoundly negative way, but the administration does not care and is unable to adjust. They overturned good policy for bad - all for political purposes.

They do not see or feel any consequences of their decisions. How? By ignoring reality and living in the insular world of D.C. politics surrounded by "yes-men" without a clue. We, the people, can bring justice and consequence to these few that are hurting us all.

It is called the ballot box. The next election cannot come soon enough.

God bless the USA.
