Bulls turn the tables with big win over Toronto

Five players scored in double figures as the Bulls rolled to a 93-83 victory over Toronto at the Las Vegas summer league on Tuesday.

The Bulls dominated the first three quarters and held an 81-55 lead heading into the fourth. It was a nice turnaround after a blowout loss to the Knicks two days earlier.

Point guard Carlik Jones led the way with 17 points and 5 assists, while hitting all 7 shots from the field. In both of the Bulls' summer league victories, he led the team by a wide margin in plus-minus. Jones played in college at Radford and Louisville, then saw action in five NBA games last season with Dallas and Toronto, besides playing in the G-League.

Rookie Dalen Terry scored 14 points, to go with 5 rebounds. Malcolm Hill added 11 points, while Ethan Thompson and Makur Maker each had 10 off the bench.

Ron Harper Jr., son of the three-time champion with the Bulls, played for Toronto and scored 5 points. Dalano Blanton led the Raptors with 18.

There was some bad news out of summer league as rookie E.J. Liddell, from downstate Belleville and Ohio State, reportedly suffered a torn ACL during a game. He was drafted by New Orleans in the second round.

Summer league action continues for the Bulls on Thursday against Charlotte at 5 p.m.
