Thacker Street rail crossing in Des Plaines closed for repairs

The Union Pacific Railroad crossing on Thacker Street between Mount Prospect Road and Wolf Road in Des Plaines will be closed this week for repairs.

The work was scheduled to begin Monday and is expected to be complete by 5 p.m. Friday, Des Plaines officials announced.

Drivers should follow a posted detour route.
