Batavia MainStreet brings Cocktails in the Park back to Appleton Park

Batavia MainStreet's beloved Cocktails in the Park returns to downtown Batavia on Saturday, July 23. The evening features a night of live music, delicious appetizers and cocktails that guests can enjoy while taking in the beautiful river and scenery at Appleton Park.

Cocktails in the Park kicks off at 7 p.m. and runs through 10 p.m. July 23. The rock cover band, The Cocktails, will get the party going as eventgoers gather and sample delicious food and drink. This annual event was designed with a dual purpose - to showcase the amazing restaurants in Batavia as well as raise funds for Batavia MainStreet to allow the organization to continue supporting local businesses and the community at-large and pursuing their mission of making Batavia's downtown the heart of the community.

"Events like this are important because it helps to create a unique and vital downtown that instills a 'sense of place' in our community," said Beth Walker, executive director of Batavia MainStreet. "We're excited to continue the momentum from last year when we returned to in-person events. It's always so good to see people enjoying Downtown Batavia and supporting our mission.

Participating restaurants include Acquaviva, Bocaditos Cafe, Gammon Couch House, Haylie B's Bakery, Sidecar Supper Club, Windmill Grille & Pizzeria, Pal Joey's, Mirus, and Taco Urbano. 93 Octane will donate beer and cocktail ingredients as well.

In addition to generous donations from local eateries, corporate sponsors also help make Cocktails in the Park a success. Gerald Subaru of North Aurora is thrilled to once again sponsor an event that brings the whole community together.

"We love seeing the local community gathering and enjoying a night out in downtown Batavia. We have loved watching Cocktails in the Park grow and seeing families enjoy the event year after year," said Donna Lawler, Vice President of the Gerald Auto Group.
