Lombard police hold drone training July 6

The Lombard Police Department is holding its monthly drone training this evening, July 6, at the Surges Center on the 1100 block of North Garfield in Lombard.

The village adopted a police department drone program to enhance response capabilities to a variety of incidents and events.

These include search and rescue of missing persons, documenting traffic accidents or crime-scene evidence, assessing natural disaster situations, and more.

Currently, there are nine officers trained and certified to operate these drones.
