Barefoot Bay aquatic center open July 4

Barefoot Bay water park, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday. The facility opens at 11 a.m. for season pass holders. Check the rainout line, (224) 263-3006, in case of inclement weather. Barefoot Bay is a six-acre, family water retreat with amenities for swimmers of all ages. The Mundelein Park & Recreation District also reminds patrons the indoor pool at its community center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, will be closed beginning Monday for annual maintenance. Work includes draining the water and deep cleaning. The pool will reopen July 18.
