Two Aurora churches to hold joint outdoor worship July 3

On Sunday, July 3, New England Congregational Church, 406 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora, will host a joint outdoor worship service with Aurora's Our Savior Lutheran Church at 10 a.m.

The public is invited. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets.

An all-ages outdoor worship service will be held in green space at the playground.

The Rev. Brandon Perrine, New England Congregational pastor, and Rev. Julie Grafe, Our Savior pastor, will co-lead the service.

Rev. Perrine will preach on "Immune to Snakebites."

The service will feature a children's time, communion and a new liturgy designed to bring the two congregations together in worship.

Music will be provided by pianist Andrew Maya.

Refreshments including homemade strawberry shortcake and coffee will be served after the service.
